Mariah Carey is confirmed to take part in the American version of X Factor, according to reports.
The 41-year-old singer will not be one of the judges but will instead be a mentor for Simon Cowell's group.
Simon has hinted that the diva was interested in being a part of the show and now People magazine claim she is on board to play a part in the singing competition show.
"Mariah is definitely confirmed to be a part of X Factor," the source told the publication.
"She is confirmed to tape something with Simon Cowell at the judge's homes."
But the Fantasy singer is not going to be the only celebrity guest.
"Each of the judges will tape something with mentors they have selected and Simon has selected Mariah to do that with him," the insider added.
"The judge's mentor the talent they pick and she will be working with them."
Mariah, who is married to America's Got Talent host Nick Cannon, gave birth four months ago to twins; a boy called Moroccan and a girl called Monroe.
Simon recently opened up about why he left American Idol saying that he was "bored" the last couple of seasons of the show and that audition days reminded him of Sunday nights before school.
The British judge said that as the show got more and more successful he did not want to do it anymore. He said he felt like he was "being paid to do a role" which was "not very satisfying".
