Mark Ronson knew he had to collaborate with Lily Allen as soon as he heard her.
The mega producer has previously worked his magic on artists such as Amy Winehouse and Lily and most recently Bruno Mars, on global hit Uptown Funk.
After being presented with Lily's track, he jumped at the chance to team up with her.
"Lily Allen gave me a demo with LDN on it when I DJed at YoYo at the Notting Hill Arts Club in 2005. I remember thinking, 'I must call this girl tomorrow,'" Mark recalled to ES Magazine.
For the publication, Mark described his life in music. The 39-year-old admits it was the soulful sound of Stevie Wonder that helped heal a broken heart.
"Stevie Wonder's Superwoman got me through a bad break-up. I went out to LA to see my girlfriend of three years, Mo, and she dumped me within two hours. I didn't have the money to change flights so I was stuck in a friend's house for three days with nothing to do except learn that song on a little MIDI keyboard," he revealed.
Songs by Arcade Fire, Klaxons and Sly Fox all made the list too.
While Stevie may remind him of a break-up, music from Irish rockers U2 brings back memories of his first love.
"U2's All I Want is You reminds me of my first girlfriend, Nicole. We went to see the documentary Rattle and Hum on our first date. When you're 13, all you want is those over-emotional songs because you think that must be what happens in grown-up love," he smiled.
