Martin Scorsese has hailed George Harrison's music as "magnificent" and a "joy" having filmed a documentary chronicling the life of the Beatles guitarist.
Living in a Material World tells the story of Harrison's beginnings in Liverpool, Beatles fame, and solo success.
The director is quoted by Musicrooms as saying: "I first came to know George through the music, which was the soundtrack of our world - those beautifully lyrical guitar breaks and solos, those unforgettable songs of George’s, like I Me Mine or If I Needed Someone.
"I will never forget the first time I heard All Things Must Pass, the overwhelming feeling of taking in that glorious music for the first time. It was like walking into a cathedral."
The documentary has been produced by Scorsese and Harrison's widow Olivia, and features interviews with former bandmates Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney.
Eric Clapton, Yoko Ono, Phil Spector, George Martin also contribute.
Living in the Material World will broadcast on the BBC in November, which marks the tenth anniversary of Harrison's death.
