Mel C posted a sweet birthday message to Emma Bunton.
The pair shot to fame in hit 90s group the Spice Girls, and have remained close ever since. And as Emma marks her 38th birthday on Wednesday, Mel was quick to get her best wishes in.
Alongside a picture of herself with Emma, Mel wrote on Twitter: "Happy Birthday to the most wonderful, kind, talented and beautiful friend. You'll always be our baby. Have a wonderful day my love.
"First year we haven't celebrated our Birthdays together in a long time. Watch out London when we make up for it! Love you! #friendshipneverends."
After going on an indefinite hiatus in 2000, Mel and Emma along with bandmates Victoria Beckham, Mel B and Geri Halliwell, teamed up for a reunion tour in 2007 and once again for a performance at the London 2012 Olympics.
And while a further Spice Girls collaboration looks unlikely considering Victoria's stellar fashion career, Emma recently opened up about the lifelong bond the group share.
"I had the best time ever and loved every second of it," Emma told the Irish Examiner newspaper.
"We girls all have our own lives and families now, but we're still close and whenever we can catch up, we do. After all, there's always going to be a bond between us that none of our other friends can kind of understand. We grew up together during that time."
Emma was nicknamed 'Baby Spice' during her time in the Spice Girls. But she admitted that the moniker is not entirely accurate.
"There's this misconception of me as always sweet and smiley because of my Baby Spice name, but actually I can sometimes be quite fiery. So sometimes, of course, my fiancé Jade and I have our blow ups, but he's brilliant, such a good daddy and a fantastic cook and musician, plus I still fancy him after all these years, which is pretty good!"
