The singer is such a fan of the festive season he is planning to release a Christmas album next year.
Speaking on ITV's Daybreak, the 35-year-old said: 'I have been waiting to make a Christmas album honestly for eight years, my parents had Bing Crosby as my Christmas record played through the house, and for me I'm so sentimental about the holidays.'
He added: 'I don't want to be hip or edgy or to do something new.
'I'd love to be the record that kids grow up listening to, the same way I grew up listening to Bing Crosby.'
Michael, who is engaged to Argentinean actress Luisana Lopilato, celebrated two million sales of his album Crazy Love on the breakfast show.
