Michael Bublé has joked he's being forced into knowing the sex of his unborn baby because his wife is "the boss of everything".
The Canadian crooner and Argentine actress-and-model Luisana Lopilato are expecting their first child together.
Michael - who announced the happy news at the beginning of this year - would rather the gender of their new addition be kept a surprise, but says his partner has other ideas.
"I'm just so happy it worked. We had sex, and it was brief, but it worked," he quipped in an interview with the Kyle and Jackie O radio show, before adding that he is due to find out the sex of the baby in the next few days.
"We went for a sonogram last week, but the kid had its legs crossed. It just wouldn't cooperate. The truth is guys, I don't want to know. Listen to me namedropping, but I had dinner with Sean Penn last night and he didn't want to know and he was thrilled when he found out. For me, I didn't want to know, but it turns out my wife is the boss of everything, so she decided what I would find out and what I wouldn't. So I didn't have a choice," he jokingly continued.
Michael isn't put off by the unsavoury stories about being a parent to a newborn baby. The star's friend and first-time father Robbie Williams has offered a lot of support and guidance about the impending role.
"You know what's funny, again, I'm namedropping, but I had a long talk with Robbie a couple of weeks ago and he actually pumped me up a lot about the whole thing. He told me that life was going to get a lot better," he said.
"It's the weirdest thing. I'm scared; I don't know what I'm doing. My friends are basically laughing at me, telling me that I'm never going to sleep again and there's going to be poop everywhere, but I think the good stuff is going to outweigh the bad."
Michael and Luisana got engaged in November 2009 and tied the knot in Buenos Aires in 2011.
