Michael Jackson and Akon's 'Hold My Hand' will be released next Monday, ahead of his posthumous album Michael.
The single is a duet with superstar R&B artist Akon, and a hand-written note from Jackson indicated that 'Hold My Hand' was to be the first single from the album he was recording prior to his untimely death.
Akon said in a statement: 'The world was not ready to hear 'Hold My Hand' when it leaked a couple years ago. We were devastated about it. But its time has definitely come; now in its final state, it has become an incredible, beautiful, anthemic song. I'm so proud to have had the chance to work with Michael, one of my all time idols.'
The album, Michael, will feature ten tracks, both new and unreleased earlier songs.
There are guest spots from Akon, 50 Cent, and Lenny Kravitz.
It will be released on December 10.
