As Prince Michael leaned back in his chair during the interview, he appeared to have white patches of skin on the underside of his arms.
The youngster first fuelled speculation that he could have inherited his father’s skin disorder – vitiligo – during a family holiday to Hawaii in July, when white patches of skin were clearly visible under his arms as he relaxed in the hotel pool.
And more patches of pale skin were visible as he was interviewed by Winfrey on her show today, alongside his sister Paris and younger brother Blanket, at the Jackson family’s home in Encino, California.
After asking them what they hope to do when they grow up, Winfrey asked the three children about the masks their famous father used to make them wear in public.
Paris explained they were told to wear them, so that they wouldn’t be recognised when they weren’t out with their father.
Asked whether she appreciated the sentiment, Paris said: “I appreciated it. It wasn’t always comfortable, but yes.”
She added: “He tried to raise us without [us] knowing who he was, but that didn’t go so well. I kind of felt like no one understands what a good father he was.
“I’d say he was the best cook ever. He was just a normal dad, except he was the best dad. He made the best French toast in the world. He made the best breakfast in the world.”
