Those to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year have already been chosen, now the inductors have been revealed.
A veritable who's who in the world of rock, the inductors list includes REM's Michael Stipe - who will be bringing Nirvana into the fold. Stipe was a close friend of Cobain's and is the godfather to his child Francis Bean. Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic will attend to collect the award, while original drummer Chris Channing won't be inducted.
As for the rest of the roster, Tom Morello will be inducting KISS, while Bruce Springsteen will be bringing in the E Street band, who will also be performing. Chris Martin will induct Peter Gabriel, Linda Ronstadt will be sworn in by the Eagles' Glenn Frey and will receive a tribute from Stevie Nicks, Carrie Underwood, Emmylou Harris, Sheryl Crow and Bonnie Raitt.
Additionally the Roots drummer Questlove will induct Hall & Oates who will also be performing. Lastly Peter Asher will welcome Brian Epstein and Andrew Loog Oldham. Cat Stevens on the other hand is yet to be assigned an inductor.
This years ceremony is the first ever one to be open to the public and will take place on 10 April at Brooklyn's Barclays Centre. It will be broadcast on HBO on 31 May.
