Simply Red frontman Mick Hucknall is to sell a signed pair of David Beckham's football boots - and is set to make a 25,000 pounds loss.
The "Money too Tight to Mention" singer bought the boots at a charity auction held at "Beckingham Palace" just before the 2002 World Cup.
He paid 29,000 pounds for the red and white Adidas boots embroidered with "No.7, Beckham" and the name of his first son Brooklyn on the tongue.
They are autographed: "To Mick, Best Wishes, David Beckham 7".
A big collector of football memorabelia Mick is now scaling back his huge collection.
David Beckham's boots are expected to sell for only £3,000 and £5,000 at auction.
The boots are coming under the hammer on Wednesday at Convery Auctions in Edinburgh, Scotland.
