Miles Kane on a high after Glasto smash up

Miles Kane smashes drum set at Glasto and rocks out with Weller and Kasabian at Hard Rock Calling.

Absolute Radio's Pete Donaldson spoke to Miles Kane backstage in the Hard Rock Cafe VIP area at Hard Rock Calling. Miles and his band were fresh from a Drum smashing performance at Glastonbury. "Maybe your confidence grows a little bit but it was great we even trashed the drum kit at the end"

Miles heaped praise on his fellow artists at Hard Rock Calling "It's a beautiful day and to be amongst Weller and Kasabian is a lot of fun"

Miles talks about hooking up with old pal Alex Turner in LA "We did a track called "Get Right" and it was on the B side to the last single "Don't Forget Who You Are" and it's a cool little rocking tune."

"We recorded in LA. We were just on holiday and I was there just to see him hanging out but we ended up writing this tune after in this club. We got a bit pissed up and the next day we went in and recorded it. It was just one of those off the cuff things."

"We got to Number 8 in the charts with it, well my last one got to 11 so that was an achievement and I guess it's a long old road isn't it. It's a long way to go and it's just stepping stones and you just want to keep getting better and keep growing really"
