Based on her doctor's advice and due to "extreme exhaustion and stress," Missy Elliott canceled her 4/29 Carnegie Hall debut. Elliott, who has a history of high blood pressure and has been hospitalized for exhaustion before, was disappointed that she had to cancel the prestigious gig. The rapper would have been the third hip-hop artist ever to headline a show at Carnegie Hall. Said Elliott's spokeswoman Anne Kristoff, "She was very excited about playing Carnegie Hall since there have only been two other hip-hop acts who played there. But her health has to come first." Elliott will take time to rest and recuperate after finishing the Verizon Ladies First Tour and her reality TV series, "The Missy Elliott Project."
