Despite the fact that they had been more or less confirmed in the press to play a 'secret' set at Glastonbury, Mumford & Sons have denied that they will be performing at the festival this year.
Yesterday (27 June), Kaiser Chiefs performed an 11am set on The Other Stage as part of the 'secret set' series. Today's guest remains a mystery.
Mumford & Sons are, however, hosting their own 'Gentlemen Of The Road' showcase today (28 June) in the Field Of Avalon, but point out: "*Please note* this is a Gentlemen Of The Road event only and NOT a Mumford & Sons performance."
Artists such as Johnny Flynn, Michael Kiwanuka and Nick Mulvey will be performing as part of the band's showcase.
Mumford & Sons headlined Glastonbury last year alongside The Rolling Stones and Arctic Monkeys.
This year's headliners are Arcade Fire, who performed last night, Metallica and Kasabian.
