Mumford And Sons: Our New Album Sounds Like Black Sabbath Meets Nick Drake

Mumford and Sons have revealed that their new album sounds like 'Black Sabbath meets Nick Drake.

The band are currently working on the follow-up to 2009's 'Sigh No More', which is said to be more 'mature' than their debut.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, bassist Ted Dwane said: The second record is just a reflection of our mindsets, where we're all at. It's doom folk, kind of like Black Sabbath meets Nick Drake.

It's been really affirming because we started out with very humble aspirations. We never thought we'd be commercially viable and we were proved wrong."

Mumford and Sons have debuted new song 'Ghosts That We Knew' earlier this year– you can watch it on Gigwise.

The band, who are currently on tour in America, debuted the track during a live session for Philadelphia radio station Radio 104.5 FM.

'Ghosts That We Knew' is the second new track to be released by the band, after they performed track 'Home', during a session at a Colarado radio station earlier this summer.

The band are set to release their anticipated second album in 2012.
