N-Dubz don't understand why they never get nominated for BRIT Awards

The group believe because their album sales are always much better than the chart performances of their singles, they get overlooked by the voting academy.

Rapper Dappy Contostavlos said: ' think the BRIT Awards see success in number one singles.

'You get two number ones and you get quick status. They don't see album sales as a big thing and that's what N-Dubz are about.

'No one can beat our album sales. That's why the BRITs can do what they want. We've sold more albums than half of the nominees.'

Despite feeling frustrated at their lack of recognition, Dappy believes there are lots of other artists who envy their success.

He told the new issue of Zoo magazine: 'There are artists who want what we have and we want what some of them have. We've only had one number one and we want more. But some artists would cut off their arms to have anywhere near the album sales we've had.'

The 'Strong Again' hitmakers ' which see Dappy teamed with producer Fazer and singer Tulisa - are now setting their sights on cracking America and launching themselves in a new territory feels like starting their careers from the beginning again.

Fazer said: 'Next we're going to America to meet a team out there. It'll be like going from the oldest in primary school in year six to the youngest in high school in year seven. It's like starting from scratch again.'

Dappy added: 'We've got the push out there and we've also got the funding. All we need to do is write one big banger and, hopefully, that'll go straight to the top of the charts.'
