N-DUBZ star Dappy has said he no longer writes violent lyrics.
The rapper said he has moved on from when he was a younger MC who advocated violence against the police.
According to The Sun, video footage of Dappy has surfaced showing him performing a track named 'Babylon Fi Get Shot' with rapper Face Killa.
Its lyrics include: "I love a punch up, so come put your ones up/ I will bite your head off/Kick you in the b*llocks and bite your nose off."
Dappy said: "The lyrics in the rap were reflective of the London estate and the culture I grew up in.
"People in my area didn't like the police and lots of my mates felt that way. But I was young and dumb, and I've grown up a lot since then."
He added: "I'm an adult now and turned my back on those views a long time ago as they are wrong. Doing the job I do now has made me realise you don't have to hate the police and be negative about them.
"N-Dubz are all about positivity and neither myself nor the band would ever air views like these lyrics in our music today."
