Nadine Coyle is set to release her solo album in the New Year.
The Girls Aloud star – who has now permanently relocated to Los Angeles following a year-long break from the band – hopes her fans like her debut LP which she plans to release in the spring.
She said: "I've been writing my own songs. It's been an incredible experience, I'm hoping to release it in the spring.
"I wrote nearly all the songs myself. It's quite embarrassing when you start songwriting because you are opening yourself up, I think people are going to like the album though."
The 24-year-old star doesn't care if her solo work isn't as successful as Girls Aloud's music.
She said in an interview with Britain's Star magazine: "I doubt it will be as big as Girls Aloud because we had to work so long and so hard to get to that level. I'll just be happy to get the album out there and have it in the shops. After that, who knows?"
Nadine has no plans to move back to the UK because she loves the US and her life with her American football player boyfriend Jason Bell so much.
She said: "I am an LA girl now through and through, so I won't be moving back to London or Ireland. I love life in America too much. I have my own bar business there and I have a house on the beach. What more could a girl want?"
