Natalie Portman and longtime love Benjamin Millepied have officially tied the knot. Already parents to a son, Aleph, the couple married over the weekend in California.
According to People.com, the "Black Swan" co-stars married Saturday night in Big Sur and danced into holy matrimony in a Jewish ceremony in a private home in front of family and friends. They exchanged their vows in the dark. A rep hasn't confirmed the nuptials, but the Oscar-winner and her ballet beau have always erred on the side of privacy since hooking up on the set of the Darren Aronofsky film.
In "Black Swan," Portman played one of the film's leads alongside Mila Kunis, while Millepied was hired as a choreographer and played the role of Portman's dancing partner. They reportedly started dating in 2010.
While promoting the film, Millepied told Details magazine he was "blown away" by her acting abilities and that she was "amazing to watch," but didn't go into any details about their relationship. "Everybody's asking us," he said. "We just want to keep things to ourselves."
By the year's end, the pair had some news: They were not only engaged, but also expecting their first child together. "I have always kept my private life private but I will say that I am indescribably happy and feel very grateful to have this experience," Portman shared in a December 2010 statement.
Shortly after the announcement, while promoting "No Strings Attached," the actress chatted with MTV News about letting fans into her personal life baby and engagement. "The weird thing is ... people knowing something that is so private but, I mean, you get used to that," she explained. "It's just wild to walk down the street and have a complete stranger be like, 'Congratulations!' It's so nice, but it's a new experience to have people know that much about your most private things. It's all good."
When she took the stage to accept the 2011 Academy Award for Best Actress for her work in "Black Swan," a very-pregnant Portman thanked Millepied in a very public display of affection, gushing, "My beautiful love, Benjamin, who has now given me my most important role of my life."
The A-lister gave birth to their son in June 2011. According to People.com, the name Aleph has significance in Hebrew culture: The first letter of the alphabet and the first number, it also means "primordial one that contains all numbers."
In addition to her new life as a wife and the mother of a 14-month-old, Natalie has some upcoming projects including "Thor: The Dark World," "Knight of Cups" and "Untitled Terrence Malick Project."
