Urban Development have already brought the likes of Omar, Hill St Soul, Tawiah and Shola Ama and more to East London's Stratford Circus and this February they continue their support of some of the finest talent London has to offer, welcoming Nate James to the stage for a special Valentine's Day event.
Recently crowned Best Soul Artist at this year's Urban Music Awards, Nate James is recognised as one of the UK's leading soul voices thanks to 2005's debut set 'Set The Tone' and acclaimed new LP 'Kingdom Falls'.
He is living proof that you can make it by releasing music independently in the new digital era and this year has played alongside the likes of Sly & The Family Stone, Ginuwine, Musiq Soulchild, Omar and Alexander O'Neil. Having recently headlined at the Indigo O², this gig offers a rare opportunity to catch Nate play an acoustic set up close and personal – something not to be missed.
Support on the night comes courtesy of jazz soaked soulstress Natalie Williams, and precocious Camden upstart Eliza Doolittle – a nineteen-year-old who cites poker, Arsenal, UK Garage and Burt Bacarach among her influences. Completing the line up is this year's Hugo Boss Urban Rules winner Uni-Verse, whose songs about cups of tea and rice & peas have seen her take to the stage at venues including the Jazz Café, and support Floetry on their recent trip to the UK.
