Topman CTRL are proud to announce that London four-piece New Young Pony Club have been enlisted to take the helm of www.myspace.com/topmanctrl in February. This follows the huge success enjoyed by Filthy Dukes during their period in charge of Topman CTRL last month. New Young Pony Club have been given the privilege of full control of the site and asked to put together the line-up for a one-off gig, showcasing their influences, inspirations and musical predictions.
New Young Pony Club will headline the next CTRL Live event which this month takes place at Bungalows & Bears, Sheffield on 25th February. Also featured are Mercury Music Prize nominated The Invisible, art-rockers The Laurel Collective and sets from DJ duos Run Hide Survive and Children For Breakfast. Curated by the Controllers themselves, the night showcases their top predictions for the hottest emerging acts on their radar.
"It's great to be given the opportunity to foist some of our favourite bands on the great British public. Thanks Topman CTRL." – New Young Pony Club
After the success of their critically acclaimed, Mercury Music Prize nominated debut album "Fantastic Playroom" in 2007, New Young Pony Club head into 2010 with a brand new direction and a fresh sound.
