Niall Horan has fractured his right foot, but hasn't a clue what caused it.
The One Direction heartthrob has been wearing a protective boot on his foot for the band's latest gigs. In a Vine video with bandmate Louis Tomlinson, the 22-year-old tried to explain the situation, without much success.
"I woke up for the show the other day and I had a pain in my foot. Then I went to get an X-ray today and I've got a fractured right foot and I don't know how," he said.
The Irishman is accident prone, having had to have knee surgery at the beginning of last year after he claims he was attacked by a squirrel. He had the surgery in America but returned to the UK to recover, and was seen at the time hobbling on crutches.
"A squirrel attacked me. I got attacked by a squirrel in Battersea Park. They're dangerous. It's rare," he told British newspaper The Sun. "I've torn most of the ligaments in my knee. So no football for me. It's early retirement now. I've got a floating knee-cap!"
While he can't explain his latest injury, his protective foot brace hasn't stopped the Irishman from enjoying his performances with his band mates. The group are currently in the middle of their On the Road Again Tour and Niall took to Twitter over the weekend to commend their fans.
"Montreal you guys were incredible ... honestly one of the loudest shows this year. Loved it ! Thanks (sic)" he tweeted.
