Nick Cannon is putting his family first as he recovers from health issues.
The 31-year-old America's Got Talent host recently received treatment for blood clots in his lungs and an enlarged ventricle on the right side of his heart. Over the Christmas holidays he also suffered from mild kidney failure.
Nick has stepped down from his US radio show to focus on getting well and wants to enjoy quality time with his wife Mariah Carey and their young twins Monroe and Moroccan.
"I'm putting family first!" he told In Touch. "I'm getting my health together. I'm taking time to rest, and getting at least six hours of sleep."
Nick has also revealed that his son and daughter are already showing signs of inheriting their mother's musical talents.
The presenter believes that the twins – nicknamed roc and roe – love to show off their singing voices at home.
"They're talking, and they're singing!" Cannon told Us Weekly "They love to sing a lot, and vibe with our music, so it's great!"
Monroe and Moroccan will celebrate their first birthdays on April 30, which is also Mariah and Nick's wedding anniversary.
Nick recently said his life has changed since becoming a father. It has made him realise what is important in life.
"[Having children] has made me prioritise better," Nick said. "Now I spend more time on the things that actually matter."
