Nick Cave, who is riding high on many publications end-of-year best of lists with Grinderman 2, has taken out a speed camera with his Jaguar in a collision in Hove, UK on Tuesday night (December 7, 2010).
The Melbourne born, UK based Grinderman/Bad Seeds singer was driving his sons, 10-year old twins Arthur and Earl, down the Hove's Kingsway at around 7pm Tuesday evening.
Police were called to the accident to find the 53-year old singer shaken but not stirred but the speed camera not so lucky, bent over into a 45-degree position.
Nick, Arthur and Earl were not injured in the accident.
The Australian music legend started out in Melbourne in the early 80s fronting The Birthday Party. In 1984, he established Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. In 2007, he also debuted the first album by his side-project Grinderman.
Cave's latest project was the contribution of the song O Children to the new Harry Potter movie Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows.
