Nick Lachey reveals he is "all about dude time" right now.
The 41-year-old TV personality, who shot to fame in his former boy band 98 Degrees, is father to two children with wife Vanessa.
He shares two-year-old son Camden and two-month-old daughter Brooklyn with his other half, and Nick admits he's finding it a challenge to adapt to raising a little girl.
"It's definitely all about dude time now," the VH1 Morning Buzz host told People magazine.
"Cam and I are out in the yard playing and Mom and Brooklyn are doing what they do — which is a lot of feeding and sleeping … It's a lot of fun.
"When it comes time to dress Brooklyn, I still defer to [Vanessa]. The whole dressing thing is tough for me with a little girl.
"I got a lot to learn about braiding hair and all the things that come into play."
Fortunately for Nick and Vanessa, 34, their son Camden is embracing his new role as a big brother with ease.
Their eldest is now a natural at ensuring his little sister is safe, although this wasn't the case initially.
"He's starting to warm up to the idea. His initial reaction was put her back, put her back in the belly. I don't want any part of this," Nick joked.
"Now he's realised that she's here to stay and he's warming to the idea of someone stealing a little bit of his attention.
"He's very concerned when she's crying. He's like, 'Baby Brooklyn crying'. He's already got the older brother instinct [kicking] in, which is good."
Nick and Vanessa tied the knot in July 2011, five years after his divorce from Jessica Simpson was finalised.
