Operator Please are back, taking 2008 by the scruff of the neck with the release of their brilliant new single 'Get What You Want'.
Operator Please are that rare thing, a band unafraid of exuberance, of enjoying themselves, of making people remember them. They are like a shot of love and colour, they make instant in roads in to the psyche. The songs get in your cage and rattle in the most joyful, unpretentious way.
Within 24 hours of being mastered, a lone cdr of 'Get What You Want' was whizzing its way over to Radio 1 to promptly become Zane Lowe's Hottest Record In The World with Zane declaring Operator Please have "timed everything perfectly, expect big things next year!"
Overnight the Australian dilettantes debut album 'Yes Yes Vindictive' also went straight on the NME Stereo described as "like a riot in the playground". The Aussie teen pop punks have also been cutting swathes through TV land, playing live on BBC's brand new flagship teen-music show Sound, and appearing on every date of the 5th Anniversary MTV2 Gonzo Tour which last year catapulted The View to stardom.
Operator Please are a ferocious live band, having played at Reading & Leeds Carling Weekend and supported Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, and Maximo Park. The band recently won an Australian ARIA award for Best Breakthrough Artist, and are currently on a headline homecoming tour followed by Big Day Out Festival, before returning to the UK in February for an exclusive nationwide Money Can't Buy Tour, with full details to be announced early in 2008.
Operator Please 'Get What You Want' is released on 18th February, 2008.
