As tightly wound as a coiled spring Operator Please are back in the UK this summer and dead eager to throw a teenage punk rock tantrum for all to see.
Armed with new single 'Just A Song About Ping Pong' and a host of tour and festival dates the band are set to lead the charge to the top of the charts injecting fun and personality back into pop music along the way.
'Just A Song About Ping Pong' is the best pop song this year by a million pop-punk miles; ferocious and frenetic it combines spiky guitar rifts, ceiling scraping melodies and a punk spirit of creativity that has lead to comparisons with new wave heroes X Ray Specs and B52s.
On the B side Operator Please never leave you short changed. Alongside remixes by ascending dance stars Kissy Sellout and Mistabishi, Operator Please cover Devo's perv-pop classic 'Whip It', a song that has become a show stopping live favourite, and with it introduce a whole new generation to the twisted wonders of Devo.
