P. Diddy is a "motivational sideline dad" when he attends his teenage son's football games.
The music mogul's eldest child Justin Combs will be playing college football at the University of California, Los Angeles, this fall.
Diddy is very supportive of his son's athletic pursuits.
"I'm a motivational sideline dad," he told People magazine. "I want him to look over and see my face whether he's falling down or in the zone doing a dance."
Diddy played football in high school, but had to forfeit his career as an athlete due to an injury he sustained.
The star executive produced Oscar-winning documentary Undefeated in homage to his fond memories of the sport.
"I was so connected to the film I was crying like a baby," Diddy recalled. "Like the real-life [player] in the movie, Money, I broke my leg at football camp [in high school]. It was my last game."
Diddy makes football a priority in his life.
"[I think about playing] every day," he shared. "I haven't given up on my dream. I'll own an NFL team one day and live vicariously through them."
