Ex-Fall Out Boy lead singer Patrick Stump has revealed his debut solo album will be released in February 2011.
Entitled 'Soul Funk', the studio effort will be his first since Fall Out Boy went on an indefinite break in 2009.
"The album should be out in February," Stump told MTV.com. "And as can be inferred from the long delay, it's changed dramatically from the album I alluded to a year ago."
Stump added that the first song that fans will hear is called 'Spotlight' and that will happen "very soon".
"I'll let the label decide what's a single," he explained. "But 'Spotlight' will be the first 'Soul Punk' song people will hear, and that will happen very soon."
"As for the delay of the album itself," he continued. "I'd say it's been less about the music or recording and more about all the other things that finish the thought. I just want to make sure I go to sleep at night knowing I'm not half-assing this."
