Patrick Watson is the major new talent who fronts the Montreal four-piece band of the same name.
Having just signed to V2 recordings for the UK, they arrived in London this June for a pair of small London club shows. Both nights were hot, packed to the rafters affairs and those lucky enough to get in witnessed something special indeed.
The band return to the UK to play The Big Chill festival, August 5th and The Borderline, August 7th, to support debut single – Ltd edition 7" 'Luscious Life' / 'The Storm' (out August 6th).
This is followed by the stunning album 'Close to Paradise', out September 10th.
'Close to Paradise' was released in the band's native Canada last year where the band have become the toast of the Montreal scene and the album has been heralded as classic. Patrick Watson were nominated at the Juno awards (at which they also played) for New Artist of the Year.
