PAUL RODGERS has announced that he will no longer sing with Queen.
The Bad Company singer said his collaboration with the surviving members of the rock band is now over.
Rodgers joined Brian May and Roger Taylor in 2004, stepping in the shoes of Queen's original singer, flamboyant frontman Freddie Mercury, who died of an Aids-related illness in 1991
He performed with them on several tours and also recorded an album, The Cosmos Rocks in 2008.
Speaking to Billboard magazine, Rodgers said: "At this point we're gonna sit back from this."
But despite the announcement, he said has not ruled out the possibility of working together again.
He added: "It's kind of an open book, really. If they approach me to do something for charity, for instance, or something like that... I'd be very much into doing that, for sure."
