The 46-year-old America's Got Talent star wrote to Allen, 25, on his Twitter page after reports claimed she is set to take a judging role on the UK version of The X Factor.
He wrote: 'Anyway, if you need some tips on how to be a talent judge, you know where to find me. (Answer: Hollywood).'
Allen had earlier dismissed claims that she is set to take the judging role.
She wrote: 'Nice to know that I'm 80% confirmed to be a judge on X Factor, anyone thinking about running it by me?
'Maybe that's the 20% bit….. I'll only do it if there's a pop songs in a foreign language week.'
