Anna Kendrick is taking her "Cups" from "Pitch Perfect" to a diner filled with foodies who seem to have a pretty firm grasp on cup choreography.
On Friday (April 12), a music video for the track, from the "Pitch Perfect" soundtrack, arrived just in time for the 2013 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday.
The video follows Kendrick as a tired waitress who spends her days making biscuits and serving greasy food. In the midst of her duties, she sings the sweet tune, bringing her co-workers and the patrons along for the fun. They all keep the beat with, well, cups and other common items found in the diner.
At the end of the video for "Cups (Pitch Perfect's When I'm Gone)," instead of going back to her duties, perhaps inspired by the lyrics of the tune, she walks out of the restaurant with a big smile on her face.
The video was directed by "Pitch Perfect" helmer Jason Moore, who also conceived a brand-new mash-up that will be performed by Movie Awards host Rebel Wilson as well as her co-stars Skylar Astin, Anna Camp, Brittany Snow and the rest of the Bellas and Treblemakers at the show Sunday.
"I could not be more thrilled for the MTV Movie Awards to be the setting for the Pitch Perfect Bella & Treblemaker reunion," Moore said. "We have something exciting in store for the MTV audience, and I know the cast and the fans are going to really enjoy our first-ever live performance!"
Not enough "Pitch Perfect" goodness for you? Then tune into the pre-show at 8:30 p.m. ET when Kendrick joins Mark Wahlberg and Joe Manganiello in the first-ever three-way celebrity Catfish, featuring "Catfish: The TV Show" stars Nev Schulman and Max Joseph.
"Pitch Perfect" is up for four Golden Popcorn trophies at the show, including Best Female Performance and Breakthrough Performance for Rebel, Best WTF Moment and, obviously, Best Musical Moment.
