Xfm have announced that Primal Scream's long-awaited new single, 'Can't Go Back', will be receiving its first play on Xfm when Steve Harris spins it on Music: Response tonight.
Produced by Paul Epworth, 'Can't Go Back' is the first taste of Primal Scream's ninth studio album, 'Beautiful Future'. The single isn't released until July 14 but you can hear it first on Xfm tonight (May 22) when Steve Harris plays it at 7.30pm.
It sees the Scream going back to what they do best - filthy, dirty, bourbon-soaked rock'n'roll.
As for 'Beautiful Future' the majority of the album has been produced by Bjorn Yttling of Peter, Bjorn & John and features guest appearances form CSS' Lovefoxxx, folk legend Linda Thompson and the ginger Elvis himself, Queens Of The Stone Age's Josh Homme. The album is released on July 21.
Primal Scream will be giving fans a chance to have a listen to the new stuff when they hit the road for a series of live date.
They play:
London Royal Festival Hall with MC5 (June 25)
Hop Farm Kent with Neil Young (July 6)
T In The Park Kinross (13)
