Steven Tyler is reportedly doing "splendidly" in Paraguay after falling in the shower and breaking two teeth. According to Dr. Maria Bastos, Tyler had two implants put in with the dentist being surprised "with his cheerfulness."
It has also been reported by TMZ that the reason for Tyler's fall was due to dehydration from a case of food poisoning. The Aerosmith show that was cancelled has been rescheduled for tonight (Wednesday).
Sammy Hagar obviously holds Guns N' Roses in hide regard, saying he would love to manage them if the original lineup decided to reunite. He recently said "The amount of money they could make if they got it all back together, made a great record and toured the world would probably be as much as the Rolling Stones, and for them not to do it, it obviously ain't about the money. Because they could do it. I would manage them. I'd be their manager and make sure they got the right deal from all the promoters. They could be the biggest band in the world if they wanted to."
Lionel Richie will be bringing some country to the November 9 CMA Awards, his first appearance on the broadcast in a quarter century.
Richie will perform parts of three songs from his upcoming album, Tuskegee, including Deep River Woman (with Little Big Town), Stuck on You (with Darius Rucker) and Dancing on the Ceiling (with Rascal Flatts).
Dion DiMucci announced today on Facebook that he will have a new album, Tank Full of Blues, in January.
Morrissey has been granted a trial in his lawsuit against NME magazine. In 2007, an article in the magazine tried to tie statements made by the singer to an anti-immigration stance. Morrissey is charging character assassination and, even though the magazine tried to halt the proceedings saying that there has been no action in over three years, a London judge has said the action will go forward.
Rufus Wainwright is reviving A Not So Silent Night, the annual Christmas show put on by the McGarrigle and Wainwright families. After becoming a yearly tradition, the show has been silent for two years during the illness and subsequent passing of Kate McGarrigle.
The shows, which will be December 11 in Montreal and December 15 in New York, will include performances from members of the extended Wainwright and McGarrigle families, including Loudon Wainwright III, Anna McGarrigle, Rufus Wainwright and Martha Wainwright.
Stevie Wonder will be spending New Year's Eve in Las Vegas, playing at the Cosmopolitan.
