Richard Ashcroft is getting some help from soul legend Curtis Mayfield on his new single.
The second single to be taken from Ashcroft's new album 'Keys To The World' is 'Music Is Power', which is built around a Mayfield sample.
The follow-up to the Top Ten hit 'Break the Night With Colour' is released on April 17. The CD and 7" are backed with 'Long Way Down', while the DVD contains the video, and live versions of 'Music Is Power' and 'Break The Night With Colour' recorded at London's Kings College.
Ashcroft embarks on his second sold-out UK tour of the year in May, including three nights at London Brixton Academy. He then plays his biggest ever solo headline show at Manchester Old Trafford Cricket Ground on June 17. He will also appear at the Isle Of Wight festival on June 11 and headlines the NME Stage at T In The Park on July 9.
