Sambora, 51, is dad to 13-year-old daughter Ava, whose mum is his ex-wife Heather Locklear.
Speaking at his White Trash Beautiful Spring 2011 fashion show he said he enjoys working with his daughter, who is one of the White Trash Beautiful models.
He said to Hollyscoop: 'It's so much fun. I did a photoshoot with her a few years ago. I just said to the photographer: 'Can you take some pictures for me, for my house of my daughter?'
'And she went: 'Dad can I model?' The only modelling she has really done has been at my shows. That is where we are right now - her priorities are schoolwork and also I believe in maintaining the innocence of children.
'When she is 18 or 19 she is going to do what she wants to do and I'm going to support her and help her through it.'
He added: 'I'm a very hands-on dad. I have a relationship with my daughter where I talk to her just as I'm talking to you right now. I set up boundaries and I'm pretty strict.'
