Rick Ross 'Knows' Meek Mill Wasn't Involved In Chris Brown/ Drake Brawl

Rick Ross once bragged in song that "A boss is one who guarantees we're gonna eat," but as the head of Maybach Music Group, Rozay's role goes even deeper than that. When it comes to the artists on his label, Ross not only creates opportunities for his soldiers to earn a living, the rap veteran also provides a wealth of knowledge helping his young roster avoid certain pitfalls.

After the June 14 bottle-throwing brawl involving Drake's and Chris Brown's entourages at New York's club W.i.P., MMG's Meek Mill saw his name come up in numerous reports. Even though Meek maintains that he had no part in the melee, the accusations alone can rattle a young artist's cage, and that's were a true boss can provide both guidance and reassurance. "When I seen him, I just dapped him up and told [him to] stay focused and let's keep going," Ross told "RapFix Live" on Wednesday.

Rozay has the utmost confidence in the Philadelphia MC, with whom he collaborated with on the label's recently released Self Made, Vol.2. "I know Meek. I know the situation he's in, I know where he comes from. I know that's something that he won't get involved in," Ross said.

Still, the swift and calculating Bawse is careful not to say too much, especially considering that he wasn't present during the altercation. "I wasn't there so I won't make a comment other than it was unfortunate for everybody that was in there," he said. "But I know the homey, we seen each other that night, and that wasn't his mind-set. He wasn't involved in that."

Meek, who is set to release his debut album, Dreams and Nightmares, on August 28, also addressed the incident on "RapFix." "I hollered at Chris Brown immediately, I talked to Drake immediately," he said. "I don't be on no negative vibes, man. ... We blessed, we get money, we rich, and leave it at that."
