Rick Ross Pushed Out Of #1 By NOW LP On Billboard

It's hard for anyone to put up a fight against a compilation featuring hits from Carly Rae Jepsen, Katy Perry, Maroon 5, Demi Lovato, Usher and Justin Bieber. That might explain why the NOW 43 album will easily vault to a #1 debut on the Billboard 200 charts next week thanks to sales of more than 111,000, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan.

That was more than enough to drop last week's #1, Rick Ross' God Forgives, I Don't, down to the #2 slot after sales trailed off by 73 percent to 60,000.

A compilation of songs by late crooner icon Frank Sinatra, Nothing But The Best, got a boost thanks to an Amazon.com 99 cent sale, landing at #3 on sales of 40,000, just ahead of real talk R&B singer Elle Varner,
 whose Perfectly Imperfect, debuted at #4 (33,000).

The only other new face in to the top 10 was country singer Colt Ford with Declaration of Independence (#5, 31,000).

The rest of the top 10: Zac Brown Band, Uncaged (#6, 31,000), Justin Bieber, Believe (#7, 29,000), One Direction, Up All Night (#8, 29,000), Adele, 21 (#9, 26,000) AND Kidz Bop 22 (#10, 23,000). Further down the Complete 2012 Performances live EP from John Mayer hit #17 (15,000), Mumford & Sons' Sigh No More got a 56 percent boost thanks to news of their upcoming second album (#20, 14,000) and the latest from "American Idol" runner-up David Archuleta landed at #28 (11,000).

On the iTunes singles chart, "Idol" season 11 winner Phillip Phillips' debut single, "Home," got a major boost from its prominent placement in Olympics coverage, taking the #1 spot and pushing Flo Rida's "Whistle" down to #2. The new Mumford single, "I Will Wait," came in at #3, followed by Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe," Fun.'s "Some Nights," Perry's "Wide Awake," Maroon 5's "One More Night," Bieber's "As Long As You Love Me," Owl City and Jepsen's "Good Time" and Cher Lloyd's "Want U Back."

The pre-orders for the deluxe version of Mumford's Babel
 (out September 25) is #1 on the iTunes album chart, edging out the NOW compilation. The rest of the top 10 consists of: Ross, Mayer, Varner, Fun.'s Some Nights, the self-titled debut from the Lumineers, Ford, Mayer's Born and Raised and My Head is an Animal by Of Monsters and Men.

Things could get shaken up again next week to an expected #1 debut for rapper 2 Chainz,
 as well as new titles from Insane Clown Posse, Incubus and Yellowcard.
