Rick Springfield has joined the cast of the second season of HBO's True Detective.
Season one of the series was a huge hit with leads Mathew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. Developed as an anthology series, season two will star a new cast which includes Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn and Rachel McAdams. Farrell plays an addicted officer whose life is entangled with career criminal Vaughn. McAdams plays an overtly honest detective on the force. Springfield's role has not been announced.
