In an appearance on ITV's This Morning today, Gervais admitted he is a fan of the Apprentice loudmouth.
Ricky told presenters Holly Willoughby and Ben Shephard: 'He is brilliant, he never lets you down. I watched it last night.'
But the 49-year-old wasn't as positive when asked if he thought Stuart could win.
Gervais said: 'He can't win, can he?'
Ricky added he just likes to watch him as he 'knows no bounds' and loves it when after winning a task he 'puffed himself up like a toad.'
Stuart is the show's youngest ever contestant on Alan Sugar's search for his next apprentice.
British comedian-actor Gervais confirmed he is one of the latest non-Muppet additions to appear in the next Muppet movie.
