Rihanna and Chris Brown have sparked rumours their recent reunion is already over after the pair "refused" to be near each other in a club this week.
The Stay songstress confirmed last month that she is back with her abusive ex-boyfriend Chris, who was charged with assault in 2009.
However, their controversial reunion is said to have taken a bitter turn after the couple refused to acknowledge each other at the Playhouse Nightclub in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
Rihanna and Chris arrived separately to the haunt, with the pop beauty seemingly unaware that her beau was expected at the same event.
"Rihanna refused to sit with or even near Chris – and when Chris noticed she was there, he made a huge show of rubbing his presence in her face," a source told British newspaper The Daily Mail.
"He promptly ordered three more bottles of Ace of Spades [luxury champagne] which came out in a procession of sparklers and scantily clad cocktail waitresses, causing a spectacle, which he clearly wanted Rihanna to see."
The pair left the Popular Demand's 1 Year Anniversary event without each other, with Chris departing around 2.15am while Rihanna stayed on till around 3am.
The frosty atmosphere on Wednesday night is in stark contrast to the pair's behaviour on Sunday night at the Grammy Awards.
The couple turned up arm-in-arm before cuddling up to each other during the show.
Meanwhile, Chris has answered court papers filed against him by French male model Romain Julien, who is suing both him and Drake over their infamous brawl last year at a New York hotspot.
According to the New York Post, in answer to the allegations against them "Drake says Brown and the club's owners bear responsibility if the model was injured, while Brown fired back, blaming Drake."
Chris also denies that he was intoxicated in the papers, and disputes the "allegation that Drake sent Brown a note", which refers to media reports that Chris became upset when Drake passed a taunting message about Rihanna.
