Rihanna and Rita Ora reportedly kept "well away from one another" at the Met Gala.
The Barbadian beauty and the British singer are both signed to Jay-Z's record label Roc Nation.
And apparently their close professional affiliation isn't reflective of how they truly feel about each other, as the pair seemed tense at the Met Gala in New York City Monday night.
"Rihanna and Rita made sure to keep well away from one another," a source told UK newspaper The Sun.
Rita famously called supermodel Cara Delevingne her "wifey" in the past, as the young women developed quite a tight bond about a year ago.
But it is claimed Cara, who is also close with Rihanna, didn't spend much time with Rita at the Met Gala either.
"Rihanna very much had Rita's former friend Cara Delevingne on her side and was barely apart from her all night," the insider detailed.
"Rihanna also spent a lot of the night with Jay-Z and Beyoncé and even posed up with Beyoncé for a picture behind the scenes."
Speculation is rife Rita wants to make amends with Rihanna, but she supposedly has no idea how to get through to her fellow pop star.
"Rita's keen for them just to get along but there's definitely a massive distance there," the source said.
Rihanna threw a Met Gala after party that was reportedly attended by A-listers like Kristen Wiig, Zoë Kravitz, Naomi Campbell and Selena Gomez amongst others, but it appeared as if Rita wasn't invited.
The bash was said to be an excellent time, as heavy bass music blasted, neon lights flashed and sexy stars took their turn on the stripper pole.
"Everybody was laughing and dancing as they piled in," a partygoer told Page Six. "Kristen was swaying with her friends around the pole to the music, while Nicole texted away on her cellphone."
