Rihanna has confirmed she and Shakira will duet on new single Can't Remember to Forget You.
The singer posted a photo on Instagram showing the name of the song over two chairs, with "Shakira" on one and "featuring Rihanna" on the other. The date on the picture is "01.13.14".
"One. Week. Countdown," Rihanna tweeted as she linked to the picture.
Rapper Pitbull first hinted at a collaboration between the Barbadian singer and Shakira last month, when he explained Rihanna was too busy to work with him. According to Pitbull, he wanted Rihanna to sing the hook on his song Timber, featuring Ke$ha.
"That is an ironic situation there. The person we were looking at first to work on that record was actually Rihanna, and Rihanna had something she had to do with Shakira, so she wasn't able to work on our record," he told radio show Kid Kraddick In The Morning.
Rihanna also shared her pick for "Man Crush Monday", choosing athlete Mychal Kendricks.
"Is it Monday? Cuz chhh.... #MCM," she wrote, tweeting a picture of the Philadelphia Eagles linebacker.
Mychal admitted he knew what Rihanna had tweeted, and was clearly embarrassed by it. In an interview with CSNPHilly.com, the football player said his teammates were already teasing him about it.
"Some of the guys told me about it. They were busting my chops a little," he said. When asked if he had ever met Rihanna, the 23-year-old refused to answer the question.
"I don't want to talk about this, y'all," he laughed.
