Rihanna has defended her ‘raunchy’ performance with Britney Spears at this year’s Billboard Awards.
The singer's were slammed after they collaborated on a remix of Rihanna's hit 'S&M' at the ceremony in Las Vegas on Sunday (May 22).
The Parents Television Council claimed that the “overtly sexualised performance” was not suitable for young viewers.
Speaking about the performance Rihanna told the Today show: ‘‘Nothing popped out. We didn't make out. I went to Twitter to see what my fans thought about it and they really enjoyed seeing us two up there together."
She added: "There are people who are going to think it's too sexy, but you're always going to find that. People are going to always talk whether you're doing bad or good."
It is not the first time one of Rihanna's TV appearances has come under fire.
Last year, Ofcom launched an investigation following Rihanna and Christina Aguilera's performance on The X Factor.
