The Only Girl (In the World) singer thinks it is 'exciting' that she inspired so many girls to chop off their locks.
While promoting her new book in New York on Wednesday, Rhi Rhi told MTV News: 'For me, when I cut my hair, it was really, really liberating.
'And I always like to do something daring with my hair, something fun, something unexpected - something not typical.'
The 22-year-old is currently sporting long red locks but she is most famous for her short mohawk-inspired look.
The Rude Boy singer, who is currently promoting her new album Loud, said that convenience was also one of the reasons she cut her hair.
She added: 'I wanted something that, when I wake up in the morning, it leads the day, you know? Kind of tells you what to wear.
'When you've got too much options with your hair, it's stressful; it could take two hours to get ready.'
