Rihanna has had a new tattoo done in tribute to her late grandmother.
The 'We Found Love' singer was left devastated when her beloved gran, Clara 'Dolly' Braithwaite, passed away earlier this year and she has now paid tribute to her by having a large image of the Egyptian goddess Isis etched on her rib cage.
She posted a revealing photo of the new inking on her twitter page, with the accompanying words: "Goddess Isis - Complete Woman - Model for future generations - #GRANGRANDOLLY - always in and on my heart #1love. (sic)"
Isis is said to be "the ideal mother and wife" as well as friend to slaves, sinners and the downtrodden.
Following the death of 'Dolly', Rihanna - who has several other tattoos - flew back to her native Barbados to attend her funeral and say her final goodbyes.
At the time, she wrote on her twitter page: "Words can't explain the essence of her beauty."
Rihanna, 24, was recently pleading for 'Dolly' to contact her from beyond the grave.
She tweeted: "I wish u were here ... Got so many questions and you always had answers #grangranDOLLY
"Send a message in the wind or something please #grangranDOLLY (sic)"
