The 'Russian Roulette' singer rubbished reports her dad Ronald Fenty had tried to reconcile with her – following a bust-up when she discovered he was drunk before one of her concerts – and insists he's the one who's been ignoring her.
She said: "I've been the one trying to reconcile with him forever. I haven't heard from my father in over a year. I try though, I reached out to him. I did my part. Now it's on him."
Last week, Ronald claimed he had been trying to get in contact with his 21-year-old daughter for months but she has refused to speak to him.
As well as his drunken antics, Rihanna was also left dismayed when her dad decided to publicly speak about her assault at the hands of ex-lover Chris Brown in February.
She said: "He kind of did something that was really upsetting. He turned his back on me and went to the media. He got paid to talk about stuff - all these little interviews he was doing after the whole situation in February.
"I hadn't spoken to him and he was speaking as though we did. It was so disappointing to me."
Barbados-born Rihanna has previously revealed her childhood was blighted by her dad Ronald's drug problems and eventual split from her mother when she was 14.
