Rihanna has said she has “moved on” after Chris Brown assaulted her and called her former boyfriend's transformation “incredible”.
Brown was sentenced to five years of probation and ordered to do community service after admitting attacking Rihanna in 2009.
Despite initially being heavily criticised, the star's career has gone from strength to strength in the US and around the world.
In an interview with Esquire, Rihanna said she had put Brown's attack behind her and that hating her former boyfriend was "taking up too much of my time".
"It's incredible to see how he pulled out the way he did. Even when the world seemed like it was against him, you know? I'm a fan of his stuff. I've always been a fan,” she said.
Rihanna appears on the front cover of the new issue of the American magazine.
